Inspirit Mindfulness Meditation Course (8 weeks)
Mindfulness essentially teaches us the ability to be present, instead of worrying about the past or future which can cripple how we operate in the here and now. Being truly present is harder than it may sound for the majority of us, but neuroscience confirms we can use mindfulness techniques to make changes in our brain which enable us to learn and work better by preventing stress, reducing chronic pain, bolstering the immune system and improving memory, creativity and reaction times. It’s no wonder forward thinking, dynamic companies like Google and Apple have already realised the value of offering these services to their staff.
Our 8 week course will be lead by an experienced Inspirit instructor. Each class will begin with an education on the principle of the lesson such as the importance of the breath or the connection between mind and body, followed by group meditations to apply these principles practically. Mindfulness can be transformative and some employees have reported an increase in satisfaction, performance and life purpose as well a decrease in sickness absence and burn out.
Inspirit Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation Course (8 weeks)
Yoga and Mindfulness are two separate powerful practices that have been used since ancient times to promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. There is a strong body of scientific research which shows the transforming effect of both. Yoga strengthens the musculoskeletal system, relieves physical tension and improves focus, whilst Mindfulness retrains the mind to operate more effectively, rebalances the nervous system and teaches us how to be present to work to our fullest potential.
This unique course, based on Yoga for The Mind and Mindfulness, brings these two disciplines together, to provide what has been described as a drug free method for stress management in the workplace. Each session commences with an education about the class topic eg the importance of grounding or how to redirect thoughts, followed by a set of yoga postures that remain the same throughout the 8 weeks and lastly meditations where the principles are applied practically. Participants really enjoy the varied tools they are shown in the class to strengthen both their body and mind.
Stress Management Workshops (2 hours to a day)

working with the Stress Management Society
Our Stress Management workshops are designed to help employees recognise the signs, causes and consequences of stress. We will discuss ‘what is stress, how does it affect us, what is its purpose, when it is beneficial and when is it counter productive?
The sessions are interactive and we will teach your staff practical techniques to manage their physical and emotional stress levels, such as self hypnosis, guided imagery and desk yoga. The techniques can be used by staff at all levels in the company. For our longer workshops, we can provide stress testing of individual attendees, offering short one-to-one consultations and e-mail support for those that require further assistance. We are happy to work with you to create a bespoke training programme to meet the specific needs of your organisation.
